Description

In a theatrical age of mammoth spectacles and brooding musical dramas, I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE is a rollicking throwback to a nearly extinct theatrical genre: the musical comedy revue. With book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts, I LOVE YOU... reinvigorates the revue by taking a hilarious and tuneful joyride through the dizzying spectrum of modern male-female relationships.

Press

"Molinelli, a Susan Sarandon/Natalie Wood combination in looks, can transform herself from a confident dish on a first-time speed date in which the entire life cycle of a relationship is condensed to a few minutes, to a wounded country singer-styled-perennial-bridesmaid-never-the-bride character. Then, with a quick costume change and simple body realignment, she can age to a senior widow relating with caution, then abandon, to a widower at a wake. She slips into each character like a loose garment. Pretty and saucy or dour and plain, her energy leaps from her attractive form to the last row of the theater."
- Bill Primavera, The Putnam Examiner

"Noel solos in a show-stopping 'Always a Bridesmaid,' sung as a country-blues number."
- James F. Cotter, Times Herald Record

"Perhaps the show's strongest song is the country-style 'Always a Bridesmaid,' sung by Molinelli. My own favorite scene—because it added a little much-needed tenderness—is the 'Funerals are for Dating' scene (w/ Noel Molinelli & Travis Taber)"
- Chip Deffaa, CabaretScenes.org

"Courtney Balan, Noel Molinelli, Jonathan Rayson and Travis Taber were the cast and each displayed a versatile talent... Molinelli turns the country-Western 'Always a Bridesmaid' into a solid audience-pleaser."
- Chesley Plemmons, NewsTimes.com

"Westchester Broadway Theatre does a great job with the material they're handed. Much of this relies on the strength of the four principal actors... who seamlessly shift between characters, costumes, and couples throughout the revue. The ladies - Balan, a Broadway vet from the original cast of Cry-Baby, and Molinelli, who made her Broadway Theatre debut - are especially a treat to watch, wielding comedic chops one moment, then delivering tender, touching monologues the next."
- Marisa LaScala, Westchester Magazine
